Don't make me angry. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
The Incredible Hulk (1977)
Helloooo and welcome back to The Art of Caesura!
Last week we left off looking at the work-in-progress of the first of our Zombie "heroes" from Marvel Zombicide: The Incredible Hulk!
Today, we're looking at the completed model - base and all!
You may recall that I sprayed a dark purple up from the bottom to create deeper, more interesting shadows. You can kind of see them in the photo below - especially on his left forearm - although the angle made it tricky to catch.
Since you last saw this guy, I completed his base. I kept the tones muted to not detract from the green giant himself.
The Hulk's massive muscles lent themselves so well to airbrushing, that after I had built up a few successive highlights with the mix of muted green and grey, I left it there, I didn't do any hairy brush work on his skin at all to create a textural contrast between his smooth skin and his ragged pants.
A few months have passed since I painted this guy, and I still haven't yet painted his living vis-a-vis; but writing these posts is really making me hanker to get back to painting superheroes...after the secret project(s) I'm currently working on...
Thank you, as always, for tuning into The Art of Caesura! We have one more Zombie hero to look at before we turn our attentions elsewhere, see if you can guess who it will be from the cryptic clue below...
