"Reporting for Duty" - Dog Tags

Our duty is to be useful, not according to our desires but according to our powers. - Henri Frederic Amiel Greetings all, and welcome back to The Art of Caesura! I hope you are all well! We're still deep in the heart of Reichbusters, and a couple of weeks ago we looked at the player dashboards ; today we have a few more game aids: the player dog tags. I will hasten to state that I still haven't played the game, but have been merrily painting away at it over the past few months. I have also relished in reading up on it a good bit, so I think I have a fair understanding of what's going on.  So before we go into the painting of today's models, let's talk about the game mechanics a little bit. Most missions in Reichbusters are split into two parts: the pre-alarm phase (i.e. sneaky, sneaky) and the post-alarm phase (i.e. guns a blazin').  In the pre-alarm phase - when things are all calm and quiet - you get to choose the order that your Busters activate. "Many Spies Have Many Eyes" - Augen

Be careful, both of you!  The Enemy has many spies in his service... - The Fellowship of the Ring   Hello fellow Caesura lovers, welcome back to The Art of Caesura! If it's Reichbusters, it's unheimlich and we certainly have another group of creepy minis to show you today: the Augen! The expansion for Reichbusters is (awesomely) called "Not of this Earth!" and it seems to involve going through a portal to another planet / dimension; one infested with creepy,  vril-infused alien creatures.  In the world of the game there is a larger bestial alien, who we are sure to see featured on the blog at some stage, called the Augenmutter (the Augen Mother) who is completely blind, but the little guys featured today act as her eyes. Super cool.  You all know by now how batch painting isn't my greatest source of joy, so I wanted to pump these little lads out smartly.  From a base coat of Grey Seer I applied an undiluted coat of Contrast Skeleton Horde. I then drybrushed Wraith

"Butterfingers" - Nazi Engineers

Nazi engineers have a multitude  of uses  when you’re tinkering about with weird Ancient technology. - Mythic Games Hello fellow Reichbusters...I mean readers! Welcome back to The Art of Caesura! When I first saw the models of today post I couldn't wait to paint them. I realize I've said that a few times on the blog to date. Thinking back, many times the models that I'm really excited to paint when I first seem them are "non-combatants". In the Conan board game it was the bookcase , in Hellboy it was the Doom Tracker , those are two that pop to mind. I think it's because while there is a narrative in seeing a model of a guy wielding a sword or gun ("who is he fighting? How will he fare?"), the non-combatant models really help to flesh out the world by adding to the sense of atmosphere. Such is the case with today's model(s): the Nazi Engineers.  By including these guys in the game, we are reminded that Vril is created - or at least (precariously
