  Welcome back to The Art of Caesura! Tomorrow marks the occasion of my eldest daughter, Saoirse's, third spin around the sun! August is certainly birthday season! Freya's first birthday was just a couple of weeks ago , then my mum and now Saoirse! Excitement abounds! I will try to remember to come back and post pictures of the cake and party once they have occurred, but for now here are a few recent shots of this little munchkin. We have been jumping around quite a bit of late: celebrating Freya's first birthday last week, the arrival of Oathsworn the week before that and then my first game of 40k before that . Back to my hobby butterfly ways! Today we are once again flitting over to another different topic. It's another Kickstarter that arrived just before Oathsworn; it's Transmissions.  I have played this game three times already with completely different groups of people and have greatly enjoyed it each time.  This is a delightful and atmospheric game where you trundle four characterful robots around a board, collecting and spending resources (which include butterflies!) to gain abilities and points to win the game!   Welcome back one and all to a very special post on The Art of Caesura! It's the first birthday of my second daughter, Freya!! We are so lucky to have our little Freya in our lives. Having two girls under three gives you a vivid appreciation of their very distinct personalities. Even at this young age, Freya is joyful and laidback while remaining assertive. She can brighten up the room (and our hearts) with her big toothy grin.  The unicorn birthday cake that I made her. Mad dad skillz. Happy Birthday my little darling.
