Freya's First Birthday!

Welcome back one and all to a very special post on The Art of Caesura!

It's the first birthday of my second daughter, Freya!!

We are so lucky to have our little Freya in our lives. Having two girls under three gives you a vivid appreciation of their very distinct personalities. Even at this young age, Freya is joyful and laidback while remaining assertive. She can brighten up the room (and our hearts) with her big toothy grin.

The complexion of a light-skinned face divides into three zones: The forehead has a light golden colour because it's freer of muscles and surface capillaries. The ears, cheeks and nose all lie within the central zone of the face. Those areas have more capillaries carrying oxygenated blood near the surface, causing the reddish colour...
