“Many question the curiously human faces some abominations have,
And how they came to be lodged in a monstrosity of flesh and steel.”
Malifaux 2E: Crossroads
Hey dudes and dudettes, welcome back to The Art of Caesura!
And welcome to the first non-World of Smog mini on my blog
so far. I had heaps of fun with this grotesque little Malifaux dude. He’s an
abomination from Leviticus’ set, and man is he tiny! I dub him "SAWHAWK"
I have to say, this guy went together really smoothly, there
were minimal mould lines to clean and all his various limbs popped right into
place.
He really made me think of some monstrosity from Doom or
Wolfenstein and is titular Sawhawk is right echoed in Mad Max's Scrotus. I had fun breaking up his fleshy bits with Blood for the
Blood-god technical paint splattered on with a stippling brush.
I just wanted to include a few work-in-progress shots to try
to show him in a bit more detail, and to give a bit of reference as to the
scale of him against my ginormous-looking (but actually normal-sized) fingers.
I should give a shout-out to Secret Weapon miniatures, from
whom I got the awesome bases. My final plan is to do both Lynch’s crew and Leviticus’
crew with these bases, but add a bit of snow to the Lynch bases and some
autumnal leaves to the Leviticus bases. I think it’ll tie them together nicely
while still giving each an individual flare.
Thanks all, see you next week on The Art of Caesura
