So, without further ado, welcome back to the Underhive! We've spent the last month and a bit looking at the coming together of my first Necromunda gang, The Unkindness. Today is a bit of a celebration of the gang as a whole with some funky pictures of the gang. First, a couple of group shots. I'm really proud of how they all came together. Dear Friends, I'm so happy to share with you that our first child, a beautiful baby girl named Saoirse ("SEER-sha", Irish for "freedom") arrived on Tuesday evening. I know I don't usually share too much of my personal life on this blog, but she's a bit too cute to keep from you... Thank you, readers, for sticking with me over the past three and a half years. For the past few weeks we've been looking at my first Necromunda Gang: The Unkindness. The crone is a character in folklore and fairy tales,  an old woman. A few weeks ago I introduced you to my first Necromunda Gang: The Unkindness ! So far, we've looked at a bunch of the gangers and their bases .  Today is the leader of the flock: The Crone! I picked the name The Crone for the leader of The Unkindness for a lot of reasons. There is the superficial near-rhyme to "crow" which is in keeping with the raven theme of my gang. But more important was the hearkening to the Wise Woman figure. I also liked the incongruity between the term "crone", usually referencing an ugly hag, with this character...who is a babe. Two weeks ago I introduced you to a couple gangers from my first Necromunda gang: The Unkindness. Last week we looked at their bases, and now I've got a few more lovely gang ladies to show you... I mentioned the other week that I wanted to have a lot of variety of in terms of race and armour colour, but at the time had only painted the Caucasian models, so I couldn't really demonstrate what I was talking about. Today I can! Lets launch straight in to my skin recipes: African Skin:  Base coat: Doombull Brown.  Then I paint another base coat of Scale 75's African Shadow over the Doombull Brown. I then wash with Nuln Oil and then highlight with African Shadow with more and more of Scale 75's Pale Skin. I really like the plum tones in Scale 75's African Shadow.
