House Escher is unique among the great Houses
of Necromunda, for its gangs are made up
entirely of women.

Welcome back to another Friday on The Art of Caesura!
Two weeks ago I introduced you to a couple gangers from my first Necromunda gang: The Unkindness. Last week we looked at their bases, and now I've got a few more lovely gang ladies to show you...
I mentioned the other week that I wanted to have a lot of variety of in terms of race and armour colour, but at the time had only painted the Caucasian models, so I couldn't really demonstrate what I was talking about. Today I can!
Lets launch straight in to my skin recipes:
African Skin:
Base coat: Doombull Brown.
Then I paint another base coat of Scale 75's African Shadow over the Doombull Brown. I then wash with Nuln Oil and then highlight with African Shadow with more and more of Scale 75's Pale Skin.
Like I said, I hope you're enjoying our look at The Unkindness, I've got something special planned for the gang next week...
Listening: I Got You, Honey - Ocie Elliott
Watching: Dark - Season II
Reading: The Tattooist of Auschwitz - Heather Morris
Next Week:
The wise one...

I mentioned the other week that I wanted to have a lot of variety of in terms of race and armour colour, but at the time had only painted the Caucasian models, so I couldn't really demonstrate what I was talking about. Today I can!
Lets launch straight in to my skin recipes:
African Skin:

Then I paint another base coat of Scale 75's African Shadow over the Doombull Brown. I then wash with Nuln Oil and then highlight with African Shadow with more and more of Scale 75's Pale Skin.
I really like the plum tones in Scale 75's African Shadow.
Next is my super light skin recipe:
Pale Skin:
Base coat: Cadian Fleshtone.
Scale 75's Pale Skin > wash with 1:3 Reikland Fleshshade: Lahmian Medium > highlight with Pale Skin
I painted her lens twice. For the first attempt (on the left) I painted the lens-flair way too big, and didn't have as much contrast as I wanted, so once I'd finished, I started over.
Next my recipe for Asian skin:
Base coat: Cadian fleshtone, then undercoat again with Golden Skin, wash with 1:4 seraphim sepia + lahmian medium and re-highlight with Golden Skin with more and more Pale Skin added.
Finally, my recipe for the Caucasian skin of the gangers that I showed off two weeks ago.
Base coat: Cadian fleshtone, re-under coat Scale 75's Basic flesh, wash with 1:4 Reikland Fleshshade + lahmian medium, highlight with basic flesh, and then 50:50 basic flesh + Light Skin
I hope you like the skin tones so far, lets get some snazzy looks at three more gangers this week. Just a note, I'm using a new camera from this week - which is technically much better than my old one, but clearly I need to work on the depth of field as some of the photos are a bit blurry. Sorry about that. As always, you can click on the photo for a higher resolution version.
First up is Gripp:
Next we have Trixy:
And the last model for today is Merlina:
