Don't waste a good hair day.   Hello friends of the Caesura, welcome to another Friday on The Art of Caesura! My goodness! Unlike last year, where we stayed laser-focused on Reichbusters and Blackstone Fortress, this year I've returned to my more natural ENFP state of being - fliting from one exciting thing to the next! Today we're changing gears once again from last week's look at my hobby room progress. Terrain is on the menu for today; specifically the terrain that I got in Imperium Magazine a few weeks ago.  "Who cares about terrain?" I hear you ask (well actually you probably wouldn't be asking that if you're into the miniature hobby). It turns out the answer is many people. One of my previous terrain posts was the most popular post of its year ! I aspire to bring my Black Templars to Kill Team at some point so these barrels and boxes will make nice scatter terrain.  Rather than my usual Chaos Black primer, which gives a nice smooth finish, I used an old black primer I had, which I like to use for added texture. Welcome one and all to another Friday on The Art of Caesura!   Spring has sprung! And it's time to tell you about a little spring cleaning (or sprucing) that I've been doing. As I mentioned in this year's blog birthday post , one of my goals for the year is to create an awesome hobby space. After having bought our first house a few months ago, my wife and I are finally able to put our mark on a place. I wanted to turn one of the generic off-white rooms into a modern hobby space / office with an industrial flare.  I should hasten to add, that I had never done anything like this before. Prior to this project, I hadn't had the opportunity to hone any "handyman" skills. All that was about to change! Starting from an uninspired off-white, I decided to go for a nice deep, dark colour ( Ralston's Bog Oak , if you're interested). I left the sample on the wall for a week or two.
