You are the only one who can enjoy your life.
Howdy, howdy, howdy! Welcome back to The Art of Caesura!
It's been quite a while since I've done one of these life updates! Life is just zooming by at such a break-neck speed, it's important to stop and smell the roses every once in a while!
And, a special note, it's the blog's 500th post next week, so be sure to pop back for that one!
It's all go in our household: Saoirse (age 5 - almost 6!) just finished her first year of big school (what would be Kindergarten back home, in Ireland is Junior Infants). She was awarded the medal for "Hardest Worker" so we're all very proud!
Freya (age 3 - almost 4!) moved to a new creche (preschool) this year and immediately got stuck right in. Just yesterday, we were discussing the origin of her name and she asked me "Is I a god, daddy?"
Isla (17 months) has really started to develop her own big personality. She charges 'round the house after her big sisters, prides herself in her animal sounds, has a great, toothy grin, and melts our hearts.
My wife is amazing and, despite recently returning to work (a very high-pressured job) she continues to keep our family's show on the road - and she does it with grace!
As fate would have it, in fact, tomorrow (at time of writing (a couple weeks ago at time of reading) we celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary - probably over a take-out and movie at home - haha!
I'm happy in all my various roles. I am so lucky to have this wonderful family, 3 jobs that I enjoy and am stimulated by, fabulous friends with whom I speak on a regular basis (even though I get to see far less of them than I would like) and a whole host of hobbies to keep me filled up to the brim.
Life is very hectic, but I wouldn't change it!
Next Week:
The big FIVE HUNDRED!
