So I haven't had a chance to talk to you guys too much about Silver Tower. It's a blast! My fiance and I replayed the first task because we were in the small percentage of people who were affected by the "glitch" that was errataed within the first day of release (basically our first game ended sooner than it should have - but we'd still had a wildly good time). So we just restarted, but kept all our renown points.  By God, the second play-through was intense! We had three boss fights due to unexpected events happening. I almost died (twice!) but we managed to scrape through. I just can't emphasize enough that it's the most fun with a "board game" that I've had in years. Today I want to talk about my bases. We've been swimming in the Atlantic at Banna Strand and drinking cider on our front lawn (patch of grass) in the blissfully long evenings after work.  Last weekend was the second ever Killarney Beer Fest. It was a total blast! 150 beers on tap from all over Ireland. All the vendors were really friendly (and very generous with their tastings!) I wanted to only try beers I had never come across before so I avoided my usual go-tos (Killarney Brewing Co., Stonewell Cider, Torc, Trouble Brewing). Those “long-term” Caesurians amongst you will remember the glory of Sabre back in February (and the celebrated tasting just a few weeks back). The dark English-bitter Ale that I brewed in my bathroom. I was really happy with how it turned out and impressed that it lasted me 3 months (to the day!) Unfortunately, I wasn’t quite organized enough to have started another brew before finishing the first one…but I have started it now… I’m brewing a porter this time.
