The Forest Reverie - Edgar Allen Poe
Here we are again, another Friday on The Art of Caesura!
Sending many positive vibes in your direction, especially if you need them today!
Today is a continuation of last week's post wherein we looked at painting the titular Deepwood from the board game Oathsworn: into the Deepwood. Today we're looking at the Deepwood unprepossessing!
I mentioned last week that, in the world of Oathsworn, the forest itself is a constant presence and threat.
While there was an option to buy this game without miniature of the trees, I really think they add so much to the atmosphere!
I mentioned that I was initially unhappy with how the trees turned out, but after having gone back and added more details (the vines, glowing tumours and moss) I'm now thrilled with how they look!
In future posts you will see how they scale with the other miniatures on the board (which is to say that they are appropriately HUGE!)
I actually also think these would look awesome on a Warhammer 40k board!
Let me know what you think of The Deepwood in the comments section below! I'll see you back here next Friday on The Art of Caesura!
