With great power, comes great responsibility.

Hi everyone, welcome back to another Friday on the Art of Caesura!
I'm sending you loads of positive vibes, especially if you need them today.
Over the past two weeks we have begun our coverage of Marvel Zombiecide by looking at Black Panther. Today we'll look at the work-in-progress of my favorite superhero: Spider-Man!
I laid down all the base colors with contrast paints starting with Flesh Tearers Red and then Talassar Blue.
I gave extra vibrancy to the blue by highlighting with Magic Blue and then Electric Blue - both from Vallejo.
I then brought the red up to a bright near-orange using Mephiston Red and adding in Evil Sun Scarlet and Kimera's Warm Yellow.
Although I liked the volumes that this produced, it had pushed things a little too far into the orange spectrum, so I brought it all back to red with an all-over layer of diluted Contrast Baal Red. Much better.
At this point I really considered trying to line-in all of the black cob-webbing on his costume. But I knew "that way lies madness" so instead, I just picked out around his eyes and the spider emblem on his chest in black.
With that, Spider-Man himself was done, so I turned my attention towards his scenic base.
The base's base colours (hee hee) are Steel Legion Drab, Vallejo Metal Color (sic), and the brick is AK's Burnt Red. I washed the non-metal colours with Agrax Earthshade, and then dry brushed them with Ushabti Bone.
And that's it for our friendly neighbourhood web-slinger!
Thanks for tuning in, I'll see you next week on The Art of Caesura!
