The most terrifying thing about the
craw wurm is probably the horrible
crashing sound it makes as it speeds
through the forest. This noise is so loud
it echoes through the trees and seems
to come from all directions at once.

Welcome back to a particularly unsettling post on The Art of Caesura!
Before we begin, I hope you had a great week and are pumped for the weekend. I'm sending positive thoughts, especially if you need them today!
***Note on Spoilers: This model is one of the poster-boys of Oathsworn. It has been used in promotional content for the game prior to release. It is one of the few bosses NOT considered to be a spoiler (along with the Broodmother, and a few others).
Last week we looked at how I painted the boss from chapter 3 of Oathsworn: into the Deepwood - the giant wyrm! This week we're going to let it flourish in its natural environment of darkness.
Sometimes, no matter what I try, minis don't translate well to photo. Other times the dramatic moodiness of the photo makes them look even better than they do under neutral light. This time is the latter!
I love how the wyrm is appearing out of the darkness!
I know it might be difficult to get a sense of scale - I will try to remember to take some photos of the board with the hero minis for contrast when my wife and I get around to playing this encounter - but this "mini" is HUGE. It had to be to earn the privileged position of "biggest mini of the year" for the blog's recent birthday.
And that's the wyrm!
I am loving these Oathsworn bosses! More to come on The Art of Caesura!
